Kristin, Owner

When asked what she loves about owning the salon, Kristin said, “I typically don't work with customers finding their gowns for them on a day to day basis anymore but I still love what I do.  I love the variety of situations that working with our customers has given me, although I have worked in bridal for almost 20 years I have never been bored in my job.  Given any situation, I love trying to find a solution that will work for both our customer and the salon.  I have great memories of my own bridal gown shopping experience; the ladies were fantastic, friendly and always patient as I tried to make up my mind.  I try to always remember that and give our own customers the same experience.”   Kristin loves to spend time with her husband and four children, especially watching their sports.  She also loves playing tennis, reading, cheering on MSU, spending time near the water and almost anything competitive.

Jamie, Staff Manager and Marketing Coordinator

Jamie’s favorite part of working at Bridal Elegance is being able to help each bride look and feel amazing on their wedding day. Jamie said, “I do not care how good the cake, how great the band, or how gorgeous the centerpieces… My only goal is to make every groom’s heart melt and his face light up when he sees his bride for the first time on the wedding day. That was my favorite memory on my wedding day 6 years ago - the look on my Husband’s face as I walked down the aisle towards him.” Outside of work, Jamie enjoys volunteering at her church, decorating, and listening to folk music.

Ebony, Floor Manager and Receptionist

Ebony's favorite part of working at Bridal Elegance is meeting people and hearing their love story. When she went through the wedding process herself, she loved seeing all her thoughts come together about her perfect dress and knowing that at the end of the journey it was going to be her and her husband as one. Outside of work Ebony likes to work out, hang out with family and go shopping. She also likes listening to Beyonce.

Martina, Receptionist

"My favorite part about working at Bridal Elegance is definitely my co-workers. We have a great team here and it makes working a lot of fun!" responded Martina when asked about her experiance working at Bridal Elegance. When the time comes for Martina to get married, she is most excited about purchasing her wedding gown! In her spare time she likes to workout and stay active by running, yoga, and more recently Pilates. When she is not in school she likes to spend as much time as possible traveling and spending her summers in Europe.

Megan, Receptionist and Bridal Stylist

When asked what her favorite part of working at Bridal Elegance, Megan replied, "Having a girl say yes to the dress. It gives me goose bumps every time!" Her favorite memory about her own wedding was when her father saw her for the first time in her dress, crying, and dancing the night away. She also loved walking down the aisle barefoot to her teary eyed husband and saying "I do!" In her free time she loves cooking, couponing, volunteering and traveling, but above all, eating!

Melissa, Receptionist and Bridal Stylist

Melissa’s favorite part of working at Bridal Elegance is seeing each Bride’s entire vision come together with the gown once they have the jewelry, belt, hairpiece, and the finishing touch of a veil. When looking back at helping her sister plan a beautiful Christmas wedding, she loved assisting with her rehearsal dress, wedding gown, bridesmaid dresses, and even a custom made sash! Outside of work she is currently studying Sign Language in the Interpreter Training Program at Lansing Community College. Melissa said, “I am always out in the deaf community interacting with deaf people and observing certified interpreters. If you are deaf, or want to bring a deaf friend or family member, you can always request me for your appointment!” Melissa also has a passion for Ballet, and in her free time she enjoys scrapbooking, designing her own clothes, reading, and taking long walks with her Mother and dog. She looks forward to the day when she can finally marry her high school sweetheart and wear her dream wedding gown!  

Nickie, Bridal Stylist

Nickie has gone through the wedding dress experience fifteen years ago here at Bridal Elegance, and now is one of the salon’s Bridal Stylist. She loves working with brides and with all the emotion that follows when the bride decides on the perfect dress… especially if their Mom and sisters are there and they all start crying. She said, “It makes me think of the day when I get to experience that with my 2 daughters.” Her favorite thing to do outside of work is spending time with her four children, reading, walking outside with her dog, listening to Adele, and going antiquing.  She also dreams about owning her own charming little home store filled with the old and new.

Kierra, Bridal Stylist

Carol, Seamstress and Bridal Stylist

What Carol likes about working at Bridal Elegance is each bride has her own unique personality, and she likes meeting new people! When Carol was planning for her own wedding she designed and constructed her own gown, and has been altering gowns for others at Bridal Elegance for over ten years. She is now blessed by her 15 grandchildren and loves to spend time with them.

Betty, Seamstress

Betty's favorite part of working at Bridal Elegance is working with the customers. When reflecting her big day Betty said, "Weddings were really different back then. It was common for friends to separate brides and grooms on their wedding night as a joke, and then trash their homes! I am glad people do not do that anymore!"  The highlight of the wedding planning process was her mother custom making her gown just for her! In her down time, Betty also loves to sew and knit!
